Do you find yourself stressed and anxious after a recent traumatic event? Do you find it difficult to stop thinking about painful events, no matter how hard you try? Trauma can profoundly shape the way we view ourselves and the world. You may feel stuck in patterns that no longer serve you. But there is hope. If you are ready to make a change, and feel more connected to yourself and others- I can help! As a licensed clinical mental health counselor specializing in EMDR, I work with women and LGBTQIA+ adult individuals to help release the grip of trauma. I have 7 years of experience specializing in working with women-identifying and LGBTQIA+ folks who have experienced trauma. I utilize research backed Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy as my primary treatment modality. Let us work together to restore connection to your body, live in the present again, and let go of limiting beliefs. It is important to feel comfortable and connected to your therapist, in order for therapy to be helpful. Please send me an email to see if we are a good fit. I look forward to hearing from you. I provide teletherapy to individuals living in PA and VT through a secure HIPAA compliant platform. Sessions cost $200 dollars and I accept MVP, BCBS, and Cigna.

Therapy is an invitation to identify and gently question beliefs and perceived obstacles that stand in the way of our wellness, happiness and living our lives fully. We base our work together on you- what you see happening in your life, what you want to be different, your strengths, your goals and bigger life plans. Together we identify ways to make positive small shifts to clarify and work toward obtaining your best future. We believe in positive psychology interventions that are solution focused and strength based. We believe your mind is the most powerful resource. We can help you to learn how to use it to make powerful, lasting change.

It was at PSU that I decided that I wanted to help others. After graduating from the Human Development and Family Studies program, I decided to further my education by attending graduate school at Loyola University Maryland. There I obtained my Master's in Counseling Psychology and completed additional coursework so that I could eventually become a Licensed Professional Counselor. Over the last 16 years I have had the pleasure of working with children, teens, young adults and adults. I have experience working with college students and understand the unique pressures that PhD candidates face. I strive to provide an environment that clients feel safe, supported, and validated. In turn, this will lead to a positive therapeutic relationship in which self-reflection and processing can take place. My goal is for you to recognize your strengths uncover your hidden potential. I hope to help you with whatever obstacles or challenges you may be facing. Please view my website for more information on my therapeutic approach, a look at my office, and insurances I accept.

I am a licensed clinical social worker in private practice where I see adults and adolescents. I am here to support and encourage you to reach life goals that will enhance your overall feelings of peace, joy and belonging. I provide a safe and nurturing environment that enhances the therapeutic process and encourages my clients to identify their strengths and embrace positive change. My therapy model is based on Aaron T. Beck's development of cognitive behavioral therapy. This approach identifies the distortions in our way of thinking that drives our emotions and behaviors. By identifying distortions and redefining them we can than choose an emotion and behavior and feeling that fits our new way of thinking. My goal is to provide a therapy model that incorporates mind, body and soul wellness. I am presently accepting new patients and I am credentialed through most of the major insurance plans. Please reach out by email when possible.

Students who come to work with me often share some things in common: -They're high-achievers. Driven, capable, and holding it together on the outside, but quietly exhausted, burned out, or feeling like something's missing on the inside. -They might be navigating anxiety or OCD, going through a major life transition, or questioning their purpose and what comes next. They may be working through shifts in their relationships, with a partner, with their parents, or with themselves. -Many have never asked for help before. They're used to being the one who has it together, and reaching out takes real courage for them. If any of that sounds familiar, reach out for a free 20-minute consultation and let's get started together :)
