I want to help you improve your life, whatever that might look like for you. My name is Eleanor, and I am a master’s student in the Mental Health Counseling program at Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology of Yeshiva University. I also have a BA in Classical Studies and a minor in Hispanic Studies from the University of Pennsylvania. ‍In session, we will explore your present experiences, reflect on your past, and keep an eye on building the future you desire. Together, we can examine how trauma and childhood experiences influence your behaviors today. If applicable, we will also explore your relationships and attachment style. Finally, we will map out the many parts that make up the whole you. My goal? To help you gain insight into yourself, truly feel and regulate your emotions, and overall enhance the quality of your life. The approach to your therapy will be individualized and will depend on your specific goals – you decide what you want to put in your therapeutic toolbox. My therapeutic style is primarily rooted in the psychodynamic and IFS (internal family systems) modalities, though I also utilize aspects of the CBT, ACT, ERP, DBT, and Gestalt theories. We will work together to explore which approach feels best for you!‍ My overarching career goal is to provide profound solace for college-age students and young adults. My focuses within therapeutic work are: anxiety, depression, OCD, relationships and dating, families, attachment, sexual exploration, substance use, and personality disorders. Ultimately, I strive to create a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you feel supported in your journey of self-discovery and growth. Eleanor Wynn is a therapist-in-training at Sol Health. Sol Health is a digital health startup that offer $30 therapy to Gen Zs by connecting them with therapists-in-training accruing clinical hours.

It takes courage to reach out for help. Sometimes, the tools and supports we have aren’t enough to navigate big transitions and changes in our lives, or to make the changes we long for. In those moments, therapy can help us understand what’s holding us back and develop a plan that will help reduce our suffering and increase well-being. My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and goal-oriented. I am passionate about partnering with young adults and families in the journey toward healing and believe strongly in providing identity-affirming, culturally responsive care at all stages of the therapeutic process. I specialize in evidence-based treatment for a variety of mental health conditions including anxiety, depression, traumatic stress, OCD, borderline personality disorder, and ADHD. I also work with individuals who struggle with self-harming behaviors, addiction, and suicidal thoughts and/or behaviors. If you are looking for support and not sure where to turn to next, feel free to reach out for a free 15-minute consultation.

I work with my clients on exploring underlying patterns, unresolved conflicts, and deep-seated emotional concerns that have been causing distress in their relationships with themselves and others. With authenticity and compassion, I work collaboratively with my clients through relationship and attachment issues, depression, anxiety, self-doubt, shame, loneliness, and childhood trauma, toward greater clarity and fulfillment. I foster a thoughtful space for navigating life transitions, complex family dynamics, questions of identity and purpose, as well as overall feelings of being stuck or lost. I understand that trust takes time and care to develop. Together, we’ll cultivate a relationship in which you can come to feel safe and free to express what’s troubling you. I’ll help you make better sense of what you’ve been struggling with and why, and support you in tuning into and working toward what well-being might look and feel like for you. Talking together with honesty and curiosity can deepen your understanding of yourself and your experiences and build resilience, which both support authentic, lasting growth. As this process unfolds, it can help you make changes that foster a more integrated sense of self, greater connection in relationships, and a stronger sense of meaning in life. College years are exciting and full of opportunity, but they also have their share of challenges. Navigating academic pressure and social changes, managing stress and uncertainty about the future, balancing academic demands with work, family, and social life can feel overwhelming. As a therapist working with college students I draw on my own experiences as a student in multiple settings and work to provide a supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and goals without judgment. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, or just adjusting to the demands of college life, I’m here to help. Together, we can explore your strengths, learn and implement strategies to cope with the stress, and help you identify a path that will feel meaningful and fulfilling to you. As a person-centered therapist I work to create a space where you can be unapologetically yourself. I provide non-judgmental, compassionate and affirming support to individuals navigating the complexities of life, including dealing with depression and anxiety, navigating significant life transitions, and exploring gender identity and sexuality. My therapy approach is rooted in understanding, respect, and empowerment. I offer a safe environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings openly. Together, we’ll work to identify your strengths and cultivate a sense of authenticity and self-acceptance. Working from a perspective of cultural humility and drawing from evidence-based practices, I tailor therapy to meet your specific needs and goals. I commit to providing you with the support you need to thrive in all aspects of your life. The goal in my work is to help clients identify anything that will help them feel a sense of fulfillment and meaning in their life – work through any obstacles that they are experiencing – both internal and external – and take steps towards those values. I have specific experience working with LGBTQ+ individuals (particularly transgender and non-binary individuals), neurodivergent individuals, activists and artists. I also draw on personal experience as a transgender, neurodivergent (Autistic) woman in my work. For transgender and non-binary individuals seeking support in medical transitioning I can work with you to explore that and provide any support you need in the process (including letters as needed). I work from a Feminist and Person-Centered perspective and use a mix of Existential, Narrative, and Acceptance & Commitment therapy.

At the heart of my work is the belief that growth begins when we turn inward; not only to solve problems, but to truly listen. Beneath stress, self-doubt, and burnout is often a quieter call for balance, meaning, and wholeness. In our sessions, I’ll invite you to slow down, tune in, and reconnect with parts of yourself that may have been overshadowed by deadlines, expectations, or the pressure to achieve. My approach blends psychodynamic and somatic (body-centered) therapy to explore both your inner world (unconscious patterns, images, and beliefs) and the lived experience of your body, where insight and change can take root. I’m LGBTQIA+ affirming and work with students navigating anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, creative blocks, identity questions, and challenges with eating and body image, relationships, self-worth, or belonging. I’m particularly drawn to working with artists and creatives. What matters most to me is creating a space that is open, safe, and judgment-free; a space where you can explore who you are, discover your own meaning, and move toward a life that feels both authentic and sustainable. Rise to Change your Story

New York, NY

Rise to change your story is a mental health practice based in New York City which provides mental health services to individuals, couples and families struggling in their relationships with themselves, others and/or with money/spending. Rise to change your story emerged from our belief, that we make meaning of our life, victories and struggles through the stories we live out, the stories we internalize about ourselves and the ones we share when we interact with others. Our life stories emerge, are shaped (and also limited) by our social, cultural, familiar and interpersonal contexts. We all learn the standards by which we measure ourselves and each other through the stories we see and hear, and by the stories we tell each other. We believe that during difficult times in life, we tend to be more vulnerable and we have a sense of being stuck in stories that usually restrict the possibilities we perceive for a better life. There is nothing wrong with us for that. Sometimes we manage to figure things on our own but sometimes we don’t. It happens. We cannot possibly have all the solutions for all the challenges we encounter, and therapy is one way to figure things out in the context of a supportive environment where you can further explore different options that you may have not considered. Our work is based on helping people explore and experience some alternative story lines that may already exist in their lives or may have existed, but have been forgotten or overshadowed. In our practice our mission is to support you to rise and change your story. A story with themes and plots that are more satisfying, more fulfilling, more empowering and more aligned with what matters the most to you. We believe such stories are always there if we look for them. We believe TODAY IS THE DAY TO RISE AND CHANGE YOUR STORY.

As your therapist, I will help you know yourself in a deeper way. In doing so, you will be better equipped to enact changes in your life that will lead to greater happiness and a sense of well-being. We cannot erase negative past experiences. We can, however, work together to help you to better understand and to respond to these experiences in more constructive ways. Using a variety of therapeutic approaches, I will help you to become more aware of your long standing, negative behavioral patterns which are getting in your way of resolving challenges and of establishing and meeting your goals in life. I specialize in working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, conflicted relationships, work stress and identity issues. As an alternative to therapy, I also offer coaching services for clients working toward specific personal goals in the areas of career/work, self care (e.g. weight loss, improved work-life balance, meditation/mindfulness practices) and relationships. In addition to my 5th Avenue office, I have offices on East 57th St and in Great Neck, Long Island. I also provide therapy online to residents of NY State.

Let me tell you a little bit more about me. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over twenty years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. I have always loved helping others. My passion for working with people in their 20s and 30s stems from years of working with children and adolescents in schools. I’ve helped students find their own path into adulthood and see my current work as a continuation of offering that guidance and support. Previous clients describe me as very kind, empathetic, non-judgmental, and caring. Counseling is in my blood, it's all I have ever done and I feel as passionate about it today as I did when I started.
