"Rittenhouse Psychiatric Associates is a network of about 25 Psychiatrists, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners and Psychotherapists who are academically oriented and practice evidence based care. We treat anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder and ADHD. We additionally provide neuropsychological assessments for accommodations. Services include Psychiatric Evaluations, Medication Management and Psychotherapy. Patients can generally be seen within 2-3 weeks. In-office visits available in Philadelphia and Paoli, PA and virtual visits available to patients in PA, NJ, NY, MA and FL (depending on provider licensing). We do not have admitting privileges at local hospitals, and therefore, if a patient is high risk for self-harm, is acutely suicidal or needing crisis intervention, has a history of inpatient psychiatric admissions, suicide attempts, or psychosis, we may recommend providers with additional emergency resources outside of our practice.
My goal is to help students succeed--in school and in life. I believe that all students can succeed as long as they have the right tools to tackle their unique challenges. I offer a range of services, including: (1) Ongoing counseling or therapy services to address a variety of needs; (2) Executive function coaching, focusing on skills like time management, organization of materials, and effective study skills; (3) Psycho-educational testing to identify areas of strength and need and determine whether university-based accommodations are warranted; (4) Clinical supervision to those in the mental health field seeking licensure; (5) Professional development on a wide range of topics including executive functioning, supporting students with disabilities, and common mental health concerns; **Please note that I have multiple locations I am able to work out of, including Chestnut Hill, South Philadelphia, North Philadelphia, and around Temple University's campus.
My passion for this work stems from my own struggles with mental health throughout my life. I know firsthand how important it is to have the proper support. I identify with the LGBTQIA+, kink/BDSM, and poly/ENM communities, so I am familiar with the unique issues facing these marginalized communities, and also the struggle to find a safe space to express your unique self when seeking help. I believe that our social identities, along with our personal histories and relationships, shape our experience of the world. The providers and staff provide highly successful and non-invasive/pharma-free physical therapy for the brain as well as medication management and other therapeutic methods to improve the lives of people in our communities. The provider at the Boot Road site is Tracy Collins Boyle, a Doctor of Nursing Practice and a board-certified nurse practitioner with dual certification in family medicine and psychiatric mental health. She has experience in treating a variety of physical and mental health disorders across the lifespan with a sub-specialty in adolescent medicine. My style of therapy is very laid back, as I believe comfort is the most important part of the therapy process. In order to discuss difficult topics or begin to work towards goals, there has to be a strong therapeutic relationship. I begin to build this relationship by getting to know my client's personalities, family structure, work life, friendships, etc. Once I get to know you, I can better understand patterns, coping skills, and/or emotions that may be occurring in response to stressors. I also am very client-centered and will tailor the therapy process around what is best for each client. Everyone is different and that means that therapy will look different for each person.
