Hi, I’m Kendal McDowell and I've been working in the field since 2019. I'm licensed in both CA and PA and I work specifically with college students and college athletes. Having been a college athlete myself, I'm familiar with the joys and stressors of collegiate life. College can be an exciting and eye opening experience, but sometimes it can also open our eyes to some things within ourselves or those around us we may not have noticed before. Together we’ll work to pin point what’s really going on. We’ll look deeper into areas that range from: relationships, anxiety, and depression. I’m here to help discover what’s causing symptoms or distress, and what we can do about it. We’ll spend time getting to know who you are and what could be missing, to bring more joy and happiness to life. Not sure yet? Reach out to set up a free 15-minute consult- no need to commit to a scheduled appointment right away! You can text/call (717-769-5510), or send me an email (kmcdowellcounseling@gmail.com) to set something up.

"If I am not for myself, who will be for me? If not now, when?" -Hillel Are you struggling with anxiety or depression related to school, parenting or postpartum, employment, retirement, a relationship, family or a major life transition? Have you had difficulty managing relationships with those around you due to anxiety or depression? Maybe you have struggled with these feelings for a long period of time and you haven't figured out how to address them. Treatment may include but is not limited to strengths based therapy, solution focused therapy, executive functioning management, exposure therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. I tailor it to what it is that you need throughout our work together. We make things practical. *I offer in person and virtual therapy. Fees and Insurance: I am licensed to practice and accept clients from the following states: NY, PA, NJ, CT, FL, TX, IL and IN. Sometimes we feel like our light has been dimmed by our past experiences and ongoing life stressors. Maybe others have noticed that you have been more irritable, distant, or just “different”. Whether it be anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, or other life circumstances, don’t let that hold you back from building the life you deserve. You’re here because you finally want to take back control of your life and begin to find your true self again. Your struggles do not have to define you and you deserve to be happy. It's time to put yourself first and reach out for help. Let us work together in finding balance through being present, practicing self-care, and positive thinking.

I’m here to support you in figuring out what to do with all the insight you already have.
