Dr. Hu is a Duke-trained adult and child psychiatrist with expertise in anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). She worked in prestigious institutions, including McLean Hospital OCD institute, Tufts Medical Center ECT (electro-convulsive therapy) program, and anxiety clinic at Boston University. before joining Harvard Counseling and Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in 2021. We focus on evidence-based treatment, particularly cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). In contrary to talk therapy, CBT is time-limited, goal-orientated, client-focused, and skill-based. She provides useful tools and coping skills to manage stress and anxiety for better performance and incorporate dialectal behavioral therapy (DBT) and acceptance committed therapy (ACT) in her approach.
My passion is working with people who are beginning to realize they feel exhausted and overwhelmed, and think it may be because of patterns of people-pleasing and perfectionism. They are beginning to realize that their drive to be high-achieving might be fueled by low self-esteem. They are performing well in many aspects of life, but they still don’t feel good enough. I have worked my way up to the management level of an agency, but interacting directly with clients is what I enjoy most. I have experience working with clients who have many different types of concerns, such as eating disorders, anxiety, depression, addiction, and interpersonal problems. I tailor my treatment approaches to the needs and wants of my clients. (If you have some knowledge of treatment approaches, these approaches include psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and motivational interviewing approaches). Besides my Master's in Social Work, I also have a PhD in English, so I am particularly interested in helping clients to use their reading or writing as therapy.

I aim to be affirming of all races, sexes and genders, body sizes, religions, and more, with the understanding that I cannot be an expert in lived experiences that are not my own. Dr. Kaeley Majewski (she/her/hers) is a licensed clinical psychologist and an adjunct professor in the Clinical Psychology Department at William James College (WJC). Dr. Majewski graduated from American University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She continued her education at WJC earning a Master of Arts (MA) in Professional Psychology and a Psychology Doctorate (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology. Dr. Kaeley Majewski is the co-owner of Elysium Counseling LLC. Elysium is a female-owned united team of dedicated mental health professionals that believe in the power of togetherness, collaboration, and compassion. Dr. Majewski has experience working across many levels of care in a variety of settings, including adult and child/adolescent inpatient units at MetroWest Medical Center in Natick, MA, and in a residential and partial hospitalization DBT program with the Hill Center for Women at McLean Hospital, which is the largest psychiatric teaching hospital associated with Harvard Medical School. Dr. Majewski has experience at several counseling programs, including the Wellesley College Stone Center Counseling Service, The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Student and Mental Health Counseling Service, and the Curry College Counseling Center. I am a Harvard-trained physician who practiced Neurology for 25 years before completing a post-graduate psychotherapy fellowship to allow me to help others in a different way. This major life change informs my work as a psychotherapist. No matter where along our life’s path we find ourselves, and no matter how distressed, stuck or trapped we feel, we can always come to know ourselves more fully and to make changes in the service of a more satisfying, meaningful and fulfilling life. I practice a flexible style of psychotherapy tailored to each unique person or couple. Some prefer a shorter-term, more active therapy that focuses on making changes in the here and now. Others benefit from a longer-term, more self-directed exploration in a safe and supportive environment. Although my focus is on helping people meet their goals through therapy, I offer the option to prescribe adjunctive medication when needed. My aim is always to understand each person’s unique life experiences, beliefs, values and goals and to work with each person to promote enhanced self-understanding and freedom of choice in the service of a life that feels satisfying and meaningful. When working with a couple, my aim is to help the couple work through current relationship difficulties and, if both partners are invested in maintaining the relationship, to help them create a partnership where each feels safe, secure, valued and cared for.
